Kathy has been an oncology nurse for more than 27 years. She obtained her RN at a 3 year Diploma School of Nursing at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. She further obtained her BSN at Northern Arizona University. In 1978, she moved to San Diego and was employed at Sharp Memorial Hospital for 22 years. Her roles varied and included staff RN, IV nurse, case manager and staff educator. In 1995, she was nominated for “Nurse of the Year” at Sharp Memorial Hospital. In 1999, Kathy returned to school at California State University Dominguez Hills, where she obtained a Master Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Since graduating in May of 1999, she has worked at Pacific Oncology and Hematology Associates. Kathy is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and Oncology Nursing Society.

Kathy and her husband Bob, enjoy traveling to Europe, especially Italy. They also enjoy visiting their 2 year old grandson in Richmond, Virginia. In her spare time Kathy enjoys gardening, jewelry making and taking cooking classes.
