Kathleen Drennan

Kathy has been in the medical field for over 36 years; first as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then as an EMT for Hartson’s Ambulance and for the past 30 years as a Registered Nurse. She obtained her RN at a 2 year School of Nursing at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA. She then obtained her BSN and MSN at the University of Phoenix in San Diego, CA. Throughout her years as an RN, she worked at Tri City Medical Center, Sharp Memorial Hospital and Scripps Memorial Hospital in various roles including staff RN, Assistant Unit Manager, and Clinical Staff Educator. The majority of this time was working in Cardiovascular Critical Care and Trauma. In 2003, Kathy returned to school at California State University Dominguez Hills, where she obtained a Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Since graduating in May of 2005, she has worked in Internal Medicine. Kathy is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and the American College of Nurse Practitioners.

Kathy and her husband Bill, both California natives, enjoy spending time with their two daughters and their two grandsons. Their spare time is spent doing missionary work with the Loft House Ministry in Ensenada, Mexico. Kathy also sings with a worship band at their church and once a year volunteers as a camp nurse in Ensenada. In her spare time Kathy enjoys gardening, photography, cooking for her family and cheering for the Padres and Chargers.
