Apryl obtained her BA in Health Communications at the University of Washington, Seattle, in 1996. She has had a variety of work experience since then, fitness instructor, personal trainer, clinical research coordinator and Lieutenant in the United States Coast Guard Reserves. In 2005 she went back to school for her RN-MSN degree at the University of San Diego. She graduated in 2010 with an MSN from the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She was a medical/surgical nurse for 4 years at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas while completing the Masters portion of her education. Apryl started working at Pacific Oncology & Hematology Associates in June 2010. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In her spare time, Apryl and her husband Michael enjoy playing with their two little boys, Ethan and Eli, hiking, walking their dog, going to the beach, surfing, yoga and just watching each other grow.
